What a sad, grinding end to Specter’s career. It appears that jumping ship during the GOP’s lowest moment in their history hasn’t earned him the respect of his new Democratic colleagues.

I loath Specter but this may have been the one right and proper thing that he has ever done. Murtha didn’t deserve to have anyone attend his funeral.
In point of fact, Murtha deserved neither funeral nor to have his remains interred in hallowed ground at all.
