I used to get homeless people coming in during the winter wanting a dime or quarter for a “cup of coffee” when I worked as a security guard at a newspaper in my early 20s. While I didn’t have a lot of money, I had a lot more than they did. I wish now I’d have bought them a cup of coffee or a sandwich.
